Seeking info on fam of Thomas WRIGHT b abt 1797 Weston Parish, Cheshire,
England; d aft 1881 Dwygyfylchi, Caernarvon, Wales. He was the son of
William WRIGHT, a shipwright. Thomas WRIGHT went to Dwygyfylchi,
Caernarvon, North Wales where he was an agent for the quarry. He m Ann
OWEN, of Gyffin, dau/of William OWEN, a butcher. Their known children
were: James WRIGHT - a doctor, no other info; Elizabeth WRIGHT
(1839-1905), resided in London, ENG, Sydney, AUS, and Penmaenmawr,
Caernarvon, North Wales; Ellen WRIGHT (1841-?); William WRIGHT (1843-?);
Mary Ann WRIGHT (1845-?) m/1 MAYERSBACH, m/2
William WOOTTON
of London*, m/3 LAW; Thomas WRIGHT (1847- ?); John

Dear John,
I recently learned that my William WOOTTON, b 1845 Southwark, married
Mary Ann MAYERSBACH, b 1849. On their marriage
9 Jan 1866, William was living at 4 St. Peters Place in Walworth.
William died a few years later. Our family story says that his widow
Mary Ann married again to a Mr. LAW, who was in Parliament. She is said
to have received a pension from the Crown after Mr. LAW's death. They
had about 5 children together approximately. The
MAYERSBACH / MAYERSBACK family has a connection in Walworth. Do

Seeking info on the families of William WOOTTON, b abt 1844 Southwark,
died as a young man, and his wife Mary Ann
MAYERSBACH, b 1849. They had two sons: Charles Alfred WOOTTON,
b 1866 Southwark, and Joseph Wright WOOTTON, b 1868 Lambeth. After
William's death, Mary Ann is said to have married a Mr. LAW and had
about 5 children with him. William was the son of John and Harriet
WOOTTON who lived at King's Bench Walk in Southwark (1861, 1851 census).
Mary Ann was the daughter of Charles MAYERSBACH
and Harriet Eliza WRIGHT. We think that Harriet Eliza WRIGHT had a
sister named Elizabeth WRIGHT who lived in Sydney, Australia for awhile,
and lived the last 17 years of her life in Penmaenmawr, Caernarvon,

Hi everyone. It turns out that my William WOOTTON and his wife Mary Ann
MAYERSBACH were divorced, which means that the
marriage didn't end because "William died young!"
William's wife married again to William David LAW and this is their
family on the 1881 census:

William D. LAW, son, scholar, 5, male, b Camberwell St. Giles
(b abt 1876)
Minnie LAW, daughter, age 3, female, b Camberwell St. Giles, Surrey
(b abt 1878)
William David LAW, (son of George LAW), and Mary Ann
MAYERSBACH, (daughter of Charles
MAYERSBACH and Harriet Eliza WRIGHT), were married in 1872.
Between 1867 and 1872, Mary Ann MAYERSBACH was
divorced from William WOOTTON by whom she had 2 sons who were eventually
sent to Canada. William and Mary Ann LAW had more children, names yet
unknown. There is said to be a connection to Andrew Bonar LAW of
Parliament but that has not been documented yet.
William WOOTTON
was the son of John WOOTTON and Caroline LEWIS who lived in Southwark.
Caroline died young, so John WOOTTON m/2 Harriet Eliza ____, and m/3
Louisa ______.

Hi everyone,
I'm seeking for info on the descendants/ancestors of Thomas WRIGHT
(b 1797 Weston Parish, Cheshire, England; d 1881 Dwygyfylchi, Caernarvon,
Wales) and his wife Ann OWEN, daughter of William OWEN - a butcher in
Dwygyfylchi. Known ch of Thomas & Ann were (all baptized at St.
Gwynin's Church, Dwygyfylchi): Elizabeth WRIGHT (bap 1839, d 14 Apr 1905
at Tyddan-ap-Ifan, Penmaenmawr, bur St. Gwynin's Churchyard, Dwygyfylchi);
Ellen WRIGHT (bap 1841, d Northview, Penmaenmawr); William WRIGHT (bap
1843, d Northview, Penmaenmawr); Mary Ann WRIGHT (bap 1845, d poss
England, bur ?); Thomas WRIGHT (bap 1847; d 1875); and John WRIGHT
(bap 8 Jan 1850, d North View, Penmaenmawr). Mary Ann WRIGHT m/1
MAYERSBACH, m/2 William WOOTTON of Southwark,
Surrey, (London), England and had 2 WOOTTON sons; m/3 a LAW who was in
Parliament. Mary Ann (WRIGHT) LAW is said to have rec'd a pension from
the Crown after her LAW husband's death. She had 5 LAW children. Her
sister Elizabeth WRIGHT's death notice was on the front page of the
London Times in 1905. She is said to have lived in Sydney, Australia for
awhile. Elizabeth seems to have been a very interesting lady from her
will, but I haven't identified any family members from the will yet. I
didn't find an obituary for her either. Their father Thomas was an agent
for the quarry there. I would love to find out more about this family and
their lives. Mary Ann WRIGHT and William WOOTTON are my gg-grandparents.
